Comments about Browning A5 Mossy Oak Shadow Grass Blades Shotgun:

Got this a few weeks ago and took it out this weekend for the first time. I am a new user, having shot shotguns ~15 times, including 1 hunting trip (all rest were clay pigeons). I researched the gun pretty extensively, and it was down to this and SBE II. In-store holding made it clear the A5 was better for me, but I was concerned about kickback on the A5. In researching the 2, it seemed you were either in the Benelli camp or the Browning camp, and other than brand recognition (and reference to kickback on the A5), there wasn't much difference other than $300.

The kickback is not a problem at all, and I previously separated my right shoulder. I hit clays significantly better than before, and my arms did not get tired from the weight. The autoload feature took a little getting used to, and I got my thumb stuck at one point which hurt like hell. Probably beginner issues, but other than that, it works great out of the box, I hit targets better, and the alleged issues with kickback don't affect me.

The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I've only used it once at this point. However, my brothers-in-law, both avid hunters, used it as well this weekend, and liked it very much. In fact, I would say they were a bit envious after trying it.
