          I use this rope to hold down a 47 foot Gibson houseboat. I have had this rope before, recently lost it, along with the anchor and chain, while anchored in heavy boat traffic at the Off Shore Superseries at Lake of the Ozarks. My anchor alone was holding down my boat and 4 others all rafted up in 10-15 mph winds. Gander provided the best price on the net for this replacement product.

                  Yes it's a nylon thimble. I don't know if they have a SS thimble. I used this for the first time last week on Lake Michigan a few times and it worked great with my 21' run about, I/O. We had about 3' swells and I had no issues with it. A SS thimble would have been a nice option however.
