Comments about Spongex Boat Guide Buoys, 6" x 14" with hold-downs:
We don't use the clips that come with these. We just drive the nail through the foam and a loop in the rope. We also put the nail about 2 inches from the top and push it so that it is encapsulated in the buoy. These things take a pounding from the tubers as well as prop strikes and some how stay attached.

Comments about Spongex Boat Guide Buoys, 6" x 14" with hold-downs:
Other buoys don't seem to last very long before the alligators snack on them. These don't seem to be as palatable to those reptiles. Use with 606 tubing and you won't have to adjust very often even if your water level varies.

Comments about Spongex Boat Guide Buoys, 6" x 14" with hold-downs:
We used to use slalom buoys, but were constantly missing gates. Once we started using these "bullets" we rarely lost any boat guides for our slalom course. Probably because if Sea-Dooers hit them, they sure new it!
