Comments about Birchwood Casey Gallery™ Resetting Target for .22 Rimfire:
Lower targets are supposed to flip up and stay until you reset them by shooting the top target. They only stay flipped up about 60% of the time. Also, sometimes one or two of the targets that are already flipped up will be knocked back down when you hit another target. However, even though it doesn't work as it is supposed to all of the time, it keeps you guessing what target you might need to shoot next instead of being completely predictable. I like it.

Comments about Birchwood Casey Gallery™ Resetting Target for .22 Rimfire:
Conclusion: These do not function properly EVER. We tried 8 different ones, and none of them worked. They're relatively cheap and are very durable, and would work great as standard swinging plinkers, but the resetable feature does not work at all. The targets will NOT stay flipped up onto the reset bar. We have never once been able to get all 4 targets flipped up without one or two falling back down.
My wife and I purchased 2 of these targets Memorial Day weekend 2010 (year ago next week) so we could have a set of plinkers to keep at our new cabin. Unknown to us at the time, my sister and her fiancee also bought 2 of them that same weekend for the same purpose. When we all showed up for the weekend, we were excited that we had 4 plinkers to use.
However, once we started shooting, the poor quality of these targets became incredibly apparent. Our family has used different models of this type of plinker for decades and this is by far the WORST functioning model we have ever used.
It doesn't even "function poorly", it just flat does not function.
The reset bar pivot is too lose on the frame, so it lets the reset bar sway side to side when the lower targets flip up. One or two targets MIGHT stay flipped up, but the 3rd or 4th target will ALWAYS knock them off.
We took all 4 of ours back and replaced them, hoping that it was just those specific ones, however, again, the new set of 4 failed to function properly, right out of the box. We have never once been able to run across all 4 lower targets and get them to stay flipped up. Not once. You can get one or two on the same side to stay flipped up, however, once you hit one on the opposite side, it will ALWAYS knock the first ones back down.
We've had ours for a year now, and keep them at the cabin still. They've lasted for over 10,000rnds of .22lr. Since they never work properly, I cut the reset bar off of the top target and now we just use them as a 5 target swinging plinker.
There are definitely MUCH better models available.

Comments about Birchwood Casey Gallery™ Resetting Target for .22 Rimfire:
I'm sure it will be exactly what I ordered since the website even had a photo for me to look at. Which is very helpful for an amiture (It's for my husband who's in law enforcement to practice with and to use to help teach our kids about guns and gun safety). Thanks so much.
Service and delivery comments:
It came a week earlier than expected, which was perfect as I was being scheduled for a major surgery and didn't know if I was going to be home in time to pick it up. I was very happy to get it and the box was not marked so it was easy for me to take it in the house and wrap it in the shipping box even though the kids where at home when it came. I am very satisfied and can't wait for them to open it on Christmas morning.

Q:
Can any other guns be used with this target?Asked on 12/5/2008 by MES from Roanoke,VA2 answers
A:
Only guns that shoot pellets can be usedAnswered on 4/21/2009 by Raf Raf from Palm Beach FLA:
Yes, you can pretty much use any gun you'd like on these but you wanna use something that isn't too powerful and will dent it. You can also use some less powerful guns that will not hit the target with enough power to swing them up but is still good shooting practice.Answered on 4/18/2010 by John from Brookfield, Wisconsin
Q:
Would this target work with a BB gun?Asked on 12/2/2008 by BT from Michigan1 answer
A:
No, a bb gun does not have the power to flip the targets. they do make traps with spinner targets for bb guns though.Answered on 2/11/2009 by Tim from Columbus, OH
Q:
the birchwood casey gallery resetting target image shows two targets with 5 each. do i get two targets with 5 each or one target with 5 each for $34.99?Asked on 11/30/2008 by mark from buffalo, ny2 answers
A:
The image is wrong you get one target with five each, but I purchased mine for 19.99Answered on 4/21/2009 by Raf Raf from Palm Beach FLA:
NO....Birchwood Casey makes this target for .22 rimfire and also for air rifles. The picture shows both side by side without the description. The air rifle target has smaller circles to shoot, but requires a hard shooting rifle to make it work.Answered on 10/21/2009 by Tom from Francisco, In.
