order it on a sunday and it was at my house wednesday, The support system got my top up and out of the way and away from the possibility of damage. the tops are too expensive to leave laying down where people will step on the and bent the bars. It took less than an hour to measure cut and install the total assembly and every thing was covered in the instructions just read them before installing. the only thing I would change about this system is the screws to attach it at the base, they need to be the quick remove pins so the top can be removed more easily for winter cover storage.

We love this item! It really does keep the bimini up and out of the way and you don't have to flip it from front to back, and vice versa. HOWEVER, the bimini itself we purchased to go with this item was not made well, difficult to install and my husband broke several screws getting it together. He had to drill new holes to get it together. So, be careful when ordering bimini and putting it together!

Comments about Shademate Bimini Top Rear Brace Assembly, Aluminum Tubing w/Nylon Fittings:
Back in July, I bought a bimini top for our boat. Due to the length of the boat, the frame didn't reach the transom when folded down for sun. I needed a way to hold it up out of the way where it wasn't blocking the rear seats or my rear view. This item was a perfect fit and now everyone can sit comfortably, in the sun, without completely removing the bimini and leaving it at home. With the pop-up showers we've been getting, that wasn't an option to me.

Is the rear brace assembly tubing the same style tubing as what the bimin frame is. I want to use this rear brace tubing to extend the height of my bimini by connecting it to bimini frame uprights. If it's same size( diameter) it should work. Any thoughts??

A:
If you want to take down, I'd buy the additional pull pin for the rear brace (where it attaches to the boat).
Or you could simply unscrew each time if want to hassle with it.Answered on 6/17/2011 by The King from Lake Greeson, ArkansasVERIFIED BUYER
