The original eye fell into the water one day. This replacement fit perfectly, except the eye part that fits into the female fitting may be just a tad wider that the stock one, it doesn't seem to slide in quite as easily. But also my fittings on the boat aren't lined up quite right so it's hard to tell exactly what the problem is.

As this piece is a female end with a set screw all you need to do is use a drill/dremel tool to remove remennants of old end and then replace assuming you have the correct size 7/8" tubing.Answered on 7/1/2010 by FLHTCUI from Lake Havasu CIty, AZ
