Product Description
berkley Get an easy-casting fluorocarbon that's virtually invisible with the Vanish Fishing Line from Berkley. The Vanish refracts light similarly to water, making it virtually invisible to fish. The first truly fishable 100 percent fluorocarbon line, the improved formula Vanish handles and casts more easily than ever before. It also maintains 100 percent of its knot and line strength when wet. Its higher density makes it sink faster, and the low-stretch formula increases sensitivity and hook setting power. Crimson Red color, 250-yard line.

    Excellent Low-Vis Line

This is an excellent Low-Vis fishing line, that requires correct spooling to help eliminate line memory. Diameter and smooth handling allows you to go higher in line test than you would normally go.

Needs to be used with the right rod either casting or spinning. Not good for pitching heavy cover. Great for open water swimbaits, spinner baits, and open water top water.

Rigged this stuff up on my spinning reel for smallies on the St.Lawrence river. I used 10lb test because we work baits around alot of heavy rip-rap and dropffs. I knew something was up when i could break the line if I pulled the knot too tight. Had numerous break-offs, even from a chunky bluegill, before I swithced rods.

Berkley is good stuff but they dropped the ball on this one. I complained to Berkley USA but got nowhere with them.

I've used many fluro's and by a wide margin this is the worse. I know how to tie good knots, but with this line it is futile!

I never review products, but this was so poor I had to let others know about it. When cinching down my first three knots, the line broke. I couldn't believe it.

I have used vanish 6lb test as well as the 4lb over the last 2 trout seasons. I this product has preformed as advertised. I usually tie a uni knot with a minnow rig and it has never failed. On a recent trip to the stream I caught over 20 trout (all returned to the stream)in an evening.

Every knot tied with this line breaks with the slightest pressure before the line ever hits the water.

I have purchased 4 different spools with various Lb tests. I have not been able to tie knots with any of this line. No matter which knot I try tying (Uni, Improved Clinch, Palomar etc) it would break when pulled down tight... with very little pressure I might add. I will never buy this line again. It was a waste of money.

the fish weight limit depends on the lbs. test you decide to get as in 12 lb test is a 12 lbs fish and so on
