Quite effective for both pike and walleye in both shallow and deep water using 1/4 oz. jig. Also productive trolling w/ 1/2 oz. in 12-16 feet. Seemed to be a preferred bait. Held up well with the pike. Recomnend super-glueing and pegging body to help bait from sliding back, but can cut off head and re-rig if necessary. Like the single hook option for safe release of fish versus treble.

Really thought these would produce a lot better. Although they rig up fairly easily I've had little to no interest from fish in these baits. I've caught many many more fish with a much more simple swim bait. The hollow body is a great idea but it's almost to a point of poor construction. When it does work right. You can watch it swim and have no clue why the fish wont bite it. It really does look like a swim bait the bass should be inhaling...Bottom line though. I fish it one of the best bass fisheries in PA and it's caught nothing, where a smaller much cheaper more simple swim bait has caught fish by the bucket. Somethings just not quite right

Work with a slow steady retrieve, shallow or deep. I have found it works great early spring shoreline to six feet of water.

I have been using this swimbait on a weighted hook for a few weeks now and have caught fish with it and they hold up well but I wish it was a little longer in length.

Really like the bluegill pattern. Catching walleye and smallmouth on them so far. Another quality product from Berkley.

I seen this swimbait on a t.v. show this weekend,it comes with 4 bodies a texas hook and a treble hook..the best way to use it,is to cut in the very center underneath the belly from about the eye to the tail, then put the texas hook in the front of the eye just the pointed part,do not bring the hook all the way through, then put the eye of the hook underneath the belly and run it out through the hole youmade with the point of the hook, now put the hook part in between the part you cut and out the back about 1/4 inch.Answered on 2/9/2009 by popcornperry from hondo,tx
