I change the tail hook on every flicker lure right away,(have several models)but leave the forward hook it is very sharp and assist with double hook set.other than weak hooks the lure is a bass killer.third cast first time with flicker 7m clown color caught 2# largemouth in a pressured lake.

        great action never hung up on line when cast, cast a mile, great colors for any water condition, the third cast,first time using the clown color caught a 2lb largemouth.

            This was by far the best fish catching crankbait we used this summer.Walleyes and northerns ate them up. The only downside was that only about 1/2 of the things ran true. I sent Berkley an email and they are replacing the defective ones free of charge.

            Found this lure in a flyer and bought 4 in char/prl could not keep the 'eyes' off them! They are great walleye lure and ocassional smallie. Have since purchased a dozen more. Only issue is when they get hung up they go out of tune easily and are not easy to get back in. BUT the lure works very well in Susq. river here in Pa.
            I even bought them in the shad color and they worked too. I like the design size (7) and great action.
