Product Description
beretta Built around a modular concept so that a single pistol can be adapted to different needs and modes of operation, the Beretta Px4 Storm pistol is designed to make the most of the simple concept of individualized performance. The Compact model is sized between the full and sub-compact models. It adopts the rotary barrel design of Beretta's larger pistol, but with a shorter and proportioned slide and grip. This model also introduces an ambidextrous slide stop lever. A high magazine capacity is maintained, with 15 rounds in 9mm. The Compact models accept the full size magazines as well, increasing capacity to 17 or 20 rounds in 9mm. While the ultimate goal is comfort and ease-of-use, the Storm Compact will never feel oversized with a barrel length of just 3.2 inches.

I wanted a gun for my wife, and after seeing guns online and in the store, and holding a few, she kept coming back to this one.

Comes with 2 magazines, a hard case, lock and some brushes. Everything you need to get started except the ammo and PPE. I would prefer a case with a hinge rather than molded plastic, but it's better than nothing. The case will probably be replaced at a later date.

I bought it on sale, but I had to order it online, so the savings was cut in half due to shipping charges.

We have not had it long, but my wife (first time shooter) was able to work it easily and keep it on target. Even though it was only one box of 124 gr ammo, there were no issues with performance.

Coming from a 1911, I find there to be more play in the trigger than I prefer, but I can't say if it is excessive for a DA/SA pistol. I am referring to the SA firing, not the initial DA pull, btw.

The gun is rather thick and chunky for a "compact," but I doubt it would ever be carried. Again, it was for my wife, and she likes it. The slide is heavy, which makes it feel top-heavy to me. But with 15 rounds in the magazine, this is a very nice little package that delivers full-sized punch in a mid-size frame.

I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the rotating barrel, but after a few practice take-downs, I've gotten used to the setup. For comparison, my .45 ACP 1911 doesn't kick any worse than this 9mm.

I appreciate all the controls on the gun, and everything works as it should. After using the safety/decocker, however, I can appreciate the function of a separate safety and decocker. It would be nice to have a cocked-n-locked option, but that's a minor quibble with a DA/SA.

Also, the coating makes the gun a bit slippery to handle, and the edges of the safety can bite a bit when racking the slide. But practice can make that manageable.

We were shooting seven different models of semi autos yesterday and all perform well except this brand new Storm compact 9MM. Something is seriously wwrong with the accuracy of the one we got. Other than the bullets hitting the ground when shooting a 24"x36" target at 50 feet or so I liked the firearm it fires well with no jams but only two rounds hit the target and that was after four mags and aiming at the top of the paper. This thing is going back to Beretta because something is not right.

Comments about Beretta® PX4 Storm Compact Handgun:

The perfect trade off for size and capacity. Magazine changes are possible within 3 seconds with practice. Conceals very well, which becomes harder with anything much larger. 15+1 capacity. If that is not enough, even in an emergency situation, you have a problem. Very solid accuracy, even speed shots. What other manufacturer has a 500 year history ?

Comments about Beretta® PX4 Storm Compact Handgun:

Great medium sized pistol! It's called a compact, but it is really only slightly smaller than the full size version, which is just what I wanted. Recoil is lower than many other 9mm pistols due to rotating barrel design. Shot great right out of the box, no problems, I like it! Bought it on sale at the Gander Mountain store in Morrisville, NC. Customer service was excellent.

Comments about Beretta® PX4 Storm Compact Handgun:

I use this as a carry gun. I've had it about three months, I've put around 500 rounds through it, never a problem with it. It feels good in my hand and it has ambidextrious safety, slide release, and its a simple process to change the mag release button over to the right hand side of the weapon (for us lefties). Simple, 10 second field strip procedure. Comes with two mags, good thing, cause they're almost impossible to find. Highly recommended.
