Product Description
beretta Built around a modular concept so that a single pistol can be adapted to different needs and modes of operation, the Beretta Px4 Storm pistol is designed to make the most of the simple concept of individualized performance. The Compact model is sized between the full and sub-compact models. It adopts the rotary barrel design of Beretta's larger pistol, but with a shorter and proportioned slide and grip. This model also introduces an ambidextrous slide stop lever. A high magazine capacity is maintained, with 15 rounds in 9mm. The Compact models accept the full size magazines as well, increasing capacity to 17 or 20 rounds in 9mm. While the ultimate goal is comfort and ease-of-use, the Storm Compact will never feel oversized with a barrel length of just 3.2-inches.

    I have had this pistol just under a year. When I first went to the range, I had problems with the gun failing to eject, and feeding problems. After contacting Beretta which admitted to having problems with recoil springs on the compacts only, they sent me a replacement which solve all the problems. Now this gun behaves reliably, feeds well and ejects properly. I have sent approx 1000 rounds down range, and I am very happy with this pistol. The only additional problem that I have incountered recently is getting extra magazines. Finding 15 round magazines is some what dificult with out having to order them special, or going to Beretta USA directly. I had taken a class in self defense for conceal carry, and the range portion had us drawing and reholstering our pistols alot. The pistol is easy to bring on target. The safety release is some what sharp, and by the end of the day, my finger was sore. But I have to admit this gun can spit out the shells quickly. I was able to fire rapidly, with good muzzle control.

    We were shooting seven different models of semi autos yesterday and all perform well except this brand new Storm compact 9MM. Something is seriously wwrong with the accuracy of the one we got. Other than the bullets hitting the ground when shooting a 24"x36" target at 50 feet or so I liked the firearm it fires well with no jams but only two rounds hit the target and that was after four mags and aiming at the top of the paper. This thing is going back to Beretta because something is not right.

          I use this as a carry gun. I've had it about three months, I've put around 500 rounds through it, never a problem with it. It feels good in my hand and it has ambidextrious safety, slide release, and its a simple process to change the mag release button over to the right hand side of the weapon (for us lefties). Simple, 10 second field strip procedure. Comes with two mags, good thing, cause they're almost impossible to find. Highly recommended.
