Product Description
beretta The Model 96A1 represents Beretta's latest evolution of the world famous 92FS pistol, the most tested and trusted personal defense weapon in history. Combining the best elements of the 92FS and the 90-Two, these pistols feature a removable front sight that allows the user to easily replace a damaged sight or replace it with an accessory sight. The frame has an integral MIL-STD-1913 rail for rapid attachment of tactical lights and laser aiming devices. The single-piece captive recoil spring assembly simplifies the assembly and disassembly process and minimizes the possibility of spring loss. An internal recoil buffer increases service life by reducing stress on the receiver created by the more powerful .40 S&W caliber ammunition. The trigger guard is rounded to conform with current pistol gripping practices. Three 12-round magazines are included.

    Purchased this weapon recently. Ran a couple of hundred rounds through it at the range. Great weapon, accurate, easy recoil for a 40 SW, totally enjoyed it.
    It fits into the Galco Shoulder holster I have for my Beretta 92 FS INOX. I highly recommend this weapon if you want to shift over from a 9mm to a 40 sw cal. The spring rod is composite, but my expensive Beretta 92 FS INOX also came with a similar rod (which I replaced). The replacement rod aren't out yet (new product), but you can have one made.

    Bought for home protection. Barrel factory coating comes off and marks badly. Guide rod is plastic and there is no factory aftermarket steel guide rod and spring assemblies available for this particular model, believe me I looked. Not much cooporation from Beretta to fix problem with barrel factory coating and they were rude.
