The Beretta Model 96 is a .40 S&W-calibered version of the Model 92, the standard sidearm of the US military. The Beretta 96's open slide design ensures smooth feeding and ejection of ammunition and allows easy clearing of obstructions. The locking block barrel lockup provides excellent accuracy and operability due to the in-line travel of the barrel. The 96 variant has an enlarged hammer pin that fits into a groove on the underside of the slide, stopping the slide from flying off the frame to the rear if it cracks. In addition, the Model 96 Brigadier features a chrome-lined barrel, a recurved triggerguard for improved two-handed grip, new grip panels and lanyard ring, and a trigger bar disconnect safety. This double-action pistol features Trijicon 3-dot night sights and includes two 11-round magazines. Its grips, metal, and bore are all in excellent condition.
