Comments about Benelli SuperNova ComforTech Shotgun:
I bought this shotgun on a whim. In college, I was out of town visiting some friends and they wanted to go shoot blue-rock, so I trekked into town to pick up shells, and spotted two Benelli Super Nova's on the shelf for [$] each, so I bought both of them, one for myself and the other for my brother in law. They were inexpensive, and I knew the Benelli reputation was good. Even if we only used them once, I knew the resale value was good, so it was a win-win to just buy what we needed. At least we'd get to try out the Benelli...What a great turn of fate! I felt a little bit like I was having an affair, because I had two Remington 870's at home in the safe, along with three Beretta Trap O/U's, but man it felt good running this Super Nova. EXTREMELY comfortable to shoulder, and incredibly lightweight, which makes it a dream for carrying afield as well as maneuvering to snap onto target.I've had the Super Nova for about 3yrs now and it has performed flawlessly with everything I've fed it, from match grade to bargain bin ammo, from 2 3/4" 7shot to 3 1/2" 00buckshot. For it's light weight, it's amazing low recoiling (attributed to the Benelli Recoil assist I assume). My 5'3" 120lb fiancee had never fired a shotgun before this Supernova, but on her first blue rock outing, she emptied 3 boxes of shells (75rnds) without a flinch. The shotgun also shoulders incredibly easily and points naturally, so on her first outing she dusted 60 out of 75. A few months went by before she demanded her OWN Benelli Super Nova 12ga, which has also performed flawlessly.I've used this shotgun for 1,000's of rounds of sporting clays, as well as dove, pheasant, , goose, turkey, and coyote hunting. Never a hiccup. The performance of the Super Nova also convinced me to buy a Super Black Eagle II, which has also been a flawless performer (although a lot more spendy!)
