benelli The Benelli SuperNova is a completely new modular design concept in pump action shotguns. With the optional SteadyGrip stock, the SuperNova can be transformed into a high-performance turkey gun or tack driving, fully-rifled slug gun for deer. There's even a barrel with rifle sights for home defense, and a SuperNova Tactical fitted with a ghost-ring rear sight and pistol grip. At the heart of this new pump gun is a lightweight steel skeleton framework over-molded with a high-tech polymer, making the new SuperNova super light, super strong, and almost completely impervious to any weather condition. But the SuperNova isn't just tough on the outside. With its dual-action bars and two-lug rotary bolt head that locks up steel-to-steel inside the barrel, the SuperNova is rock solid to the core. Because the new SuperNova is built tough, it makes no compromises. Chambered for 2-3/4" and 3" shells and 3-1/2" magnum turkey loads, this pump gun can do it all.

        Bought my "Super" a few months back and finally got to shoot it. Never shot skeet before, and was hitting 90% after 10 shots. Barrel didn't jump and my shoulder wasn't sore after over 100 rounds. Can't wait to get a Vinci, also purchased my wife an M2 in 20 gauge this afternoon for Christmas. I'm sold on Benelli's.

          The Super Nova is a sweet gun to use in the field all day whether hunting geese, ducks, pheasants, quail or crows. It never jams or creates a problem if you place the shell in correctly. Don't push a shell in upside down in the fog of battle with birds over head. It slows down the action until you can clear the gun. I enjoy using this gun on a regular basis. I have owned several different makes of shotguns but this is the best.

              This gun in comparison to others has one of the best recoil reducing technologies on the market. With this technology from Benelli it allows shooters to compete all day at the range or be able to hunt until the sun goes down.

                      no u dont need a slug barrel at the gun shoots great....an yes u can put a scope on the slug barrel if anything u may need a high rise scope mount but other than that u should be fine but my self i think the slug barrel is gonna be a waste of ur money the long barrel shoots great i own one a i love the gun

                      yeah you can do it, but i would suggest to get a seperate gun for bird hunting because its hard to take off the scope and put it back on every year. unless you buy a slug barrel that already has a bracket to mount the scope on

                      Yes, you can shoot slugs through this but make sure you do not shoot sabot slugs through the smooth barrel. Read the boxes of slugs and you will see ones for smooth and rifled barrels. Avoid the rifled barreled ones.
