Inertia Driven Bolt Mechanism
Slim, Graceful Forearm
Lightweight Anodized Aluminum Receiver
Criogenically Treated Barrel
Crio Improved Cylinder Choke Tube
Light, slender, and quick-pointing never described a semi-auto better than the Benelli Montefeltro shotgun. The Inertia Driven system in Benelli shotguns requires no springs or gas cylinder under the forend, which allows the Montefeltro's forend to be slim and graceful, while the lightweight, anodized aluminum receiver keeps weight to a minimum. Benelli's Crio System combines a barrel frozen to -300° F with a cryogenically-treated, longer choke tube. Freezing the barrel and tubes relieves the stresses caused by hammer forging, creates an even-grained, slick surface, and means less resistance against wads and shot for a more uniform shot pattern.
