Product Description
benelli Light, slender, and quick-pointing never described a semi-auto better than the Benelli Montefeltro shotgun. Stocked with beautifully finished satin walnut, the Montefeltro is the gun for the wingshooting purist who wants the feel of a classic game gun with the added advantage of a semi-auto. The Inertia Driven system in Benelli shotguns requires no springs or gas cylinder under the forend, which allows the Montefeltro's forend to be slim and graceful, while the lightweight, anodized aluminum receiver keeps weight to a minimum. Benelli's Crio System combines a barrel frozen to -300° F with a cryogenically-treated, longer choke tube. Freezing the barrel and tubes relieves the stresses caused by hammer forging, creates an even-grained, slick surface, and means less resistance against wads and shot for a more uniform shot pattern.

    Comments about Benelli Montefeltro Shotgun:

Twenty years ago I traded away my 20 gauge Browning A-5 Mag. I have regretted that decision ever since. I decided that I wanted to put a 20 gauge auto back in my gun case. After much research and talking with my local Gander Mountain staff, I decided on the Benelli Montefeltro. I took it out today and I am very impressed. First of all the weight. 5.6 pounds. A joy to carry! It makes my 12 Arrieta SxS feel heavy in comparison. One might reasonably worry about the weight as it relates to recoil. I am am happy to report that this is not an issue. I shot 2 3/4" shells as well as 3" mags and I would rate this as one of the lightest recoil shotguns I have ever fired. The mechanism funtioned flawlessly, and cycles very rapidly. Quality of the wood, fit and finish, and overall quality are all excellent. This is a sweet 20 for the field.
