It's loaded with big-bow features, such as a durable composite riser and limbs and below-grip cable guard. Whisker Biscuit arrow rest eliminates frustration by keeping the arrow secured on the rest during draw. For right-hand use only. Suggested for ages 8 and up. The bear Brave III Set includes bow, two piece quiver, finger tab, arm guard, one-pin sight, Whisker Biscuit arrow rest, temporary tattoo, and two Safetyglass arrows.

Great Bow for 5-7 Year Old

Gave this bow to my 5 (now 6) year old son for 2011 Christmas and it was a fantastic investment. Our model did not have the whisker biscuit but had a rubber u-shaped arrow rest. I didn't like this at first but I soon realized that he would not have been able to aim using the arrow (because you can't see it with the whisker biscuit) and only use the sight pin. In my opinion it has helped him develop the skill a little better. He is consistantly hitting the target from 10, 15 and 20 yards. This of course is done with the bow limb bolts tightened to the maximum. I think this bow is fantastic for the young beginner. We'll be upgrading to the Bear Apprentice 2 for his next bow.

My 7 year old tried this and he can pull the bowstring back quite easily but this thing is really bad. I would recommend one of the recurve bow sets. which I did buy....Read complete review
