Located in Batavia, New York, the Baker Gun Company was one of a hand full of American manufacturers to produce side by side shotguns during the late 1800's and early 1900's. Considered field grade guns, Baker shotguns did not have firing pin block safeties or draw blocks. The Batavia Special was differentiated from the rest of the line by its forged steel barrels. This shotgun features a metal bead sight, a double trigger, extractors, and an automatic tang safety. Its wood and bore are in good condition and its metal is in fair condition.
