    I prefer a 3X9 power scope but for the old Stevens .22 the 4X power is fine. Seeing through the scope I was impressed with how clear the sight picture is.

      just picked one up from my local gm store on sale for [$] for a old marlin 60 and was one of the best buys i had in a while awesome cheep scope idd rate it with some of the best low end scopes has realy nice adjustment knobs

        This scope is a great buy for the money. It even comes with lens cover which you do not find with less expensive scopes. It is made well and rugged. The only thing I had to do that was not a big problem, was change the scope rings that came with the scope. They did not fit the mounts that came with my Savage rifle. So I put on high mount scope rings, and it works great with no problems at all. If you are looking for a good rifle scope that does not cost a lot of money that works well, the Barska Optics Plinker-22 is the scope to get.

              The scope rings did not fit my daughters gun because it did not have a standard 22 mounting bracket. But I went out and baught a new one and fixed the problem.

                  No the Barska Optics Plinker-22 Riflescope will not fit on the S&W m&p 15-22, you would need to get a new set of rings. What I have on this rifle are Millett rings 1" High Matte DT00703. They are made of 100% aircraft aluminum and are at a comfortable height for shooting.

                  Its power is 4x32 so it is zoomed in. However, this is not adjustable.
