i dont hunt, i reflex shoot, with an AR15 ( m4 carbine ) this sight puts the recticle directly on top of my stock sight post for 100% perfect co-witness, and the battery life is amazing, i accidentally left it on all weekend, havent noticed any dimming... zero'D once, put 1000 rnds down range, still dead on, excellent sight, bang for the buck, better than EOTECH...

1. Product easy to install.
2. Product not easy to adjust. The elevation adjustment screw broke after attempting to adjust elevation on sight. I retured one item and received the same one only to get the same result with elevation adjustment screw while adjusting elevation for zeroing in. I had to make my own screw and nut to fit the optic. After fitting it property i was able to adjust elevation without any problem and works great. Good optic but that screw needs to be re-engeneered with a stronger alloid.

    Best Uses

I wasn't certain that Barska had put together a reasonably priced red-dot, but I was wrong. Looked at it in the store and purchased. Immediately took it to the range on my Buckmark. Installation was so-so, as the dovetail isn't designed specifically for picatinny/1913 style rails, but for some mishmash of common rail sizes. Not at all quick to install.
The battery compartment is nearly impossible to manipulate as the machining on the threads is horrendous, making opening and closing it entirely too difficult.
The killer was the knob: it didn't work on the 1st and 2nd positions, and thereafter only worked when the knob was placed between settings. Want it too shoot? Put the knob between 3 and 4... but don't shoot too many rounds that way, or it will turn off from the recoil (of a .22!).
      Nope. Not even twice.

The battery is located in the intensity dial. There is a slot on top you can use a coin or flat head screw driver but you have to hold the dial ring under the cap to unscrew

It will not bolt straight on. You will need to look into the Weaver "No Gunsmith Shotgun Systems" for mounting purposes
