Comments about Siepel Seipel Drysuit, black/blue:
I've previously used an O'Neill Boost drysuit for wakeboarding. After it started leaking in multiple areas (3 winters...not too impressed), I ordered this suit size large (I'm 5'10" 190lbs). It was pretty snug in the chest and there was no way I would be able to wear much underneath--certainly not a CGA vest.
I reordered an XL. It was better, but still a bit snug in the chest with a vest on. Additionally, the elastic band across the waist wanted to ride up above the bottom of my vest and pull my fleece up with it. Very uncomfortable (...the elastic is a great idea to help keep the vest up when your head/arms are not in place and would work well if it were repositioned or were an adjustable strap).
I returned it and bought another Boost because it is so much more comfortable for my use. I think for barefooting, this suit is a better bet if you're using a barefoot suit and not a vest. But for skiing, wakeboarding and surfing, the looser style of the Boost is better especially if you want a CGA vest underneath (this suit would probably work fine with a vest on top).
BTW, the returns process was easy and fast. Thank you!

Comments about Siepel Seipel Drysuit, black/blue:
I am 6'4" and weigh 190 lbs. I was nervious about finding a drysuit that would be long enough and still fit my "pencil neck." So far I have not been disappointed (I ordered an XL). The drysuit fits well. The material feel much more durable than other drysuits I have look at. The seals fit tight, which is helpful in keeping water out, but it makes getting it on and off a little challenging. Fortunately my buddies and I each have a drysuit so we don't have to change in and out of the drysuit. I look forward to ridding year round!

Comments about Siepel Seipel Drysuit, black/blue:
Have used this basic design since the early 1980's. This latest version has better upgrades and quality materials. To ease getting in and out of the ankle and wrist seals, I sprinkle a little baby powder on me before putting on. When water temps are high 40'sF or in the 50'sF, I wear my sweat clothes and can enjoy a slalom run. There's no leaks, no binding, no feeling of extra weight, and lots of flexibility. Love this suit (!) to ski early and late in the season.

Comments about Siepel Seipel Drysuit, black/blue:
I have been using these suits since 1988. Take care of your seals with silicon and wax your zipper every time you put it away and it will last for many years. Seals are easy to send for replacement if you tear one. Some other suits have softer materials but for footing this is a tough suit. Some suits use velcro overlay seals that are smoother and easier to close.

It doesnt seem that the suit covers your feet. If your feet get wet, won't you be just as cold?Asked on 7/31/2010 by Anonymous1 answer
A:
Limiting factor for skiing is when your toes can't take it. Feet seem to do ok in the bindings, but open toe bindings let the toes get really cold. You can layer underneath the suit for additional warmth. A helmet or other head cover, and some cold weather gloves really help also.Answered on 11/9/2011 by old guy from Jackson, MS

A:
It is great for barefoot skiing, so I would assume that you could surf with this on as well. Barefoot skiing requires a lot of free range of motion as does surfing so I would say yes. You could try it out and see if you like it, and return it in restockable condition if you didn't like it.Answered on 11/23/2009 by Overton's from TechnicianVERIFIED BUYER
