At the time of its release in the mid-1960’s, BSA’s Monarch rifle was one of the most advanced bolt-actions on the market. The Monarh’s unique horseshoe extractor and barrel extension design permits a fully enclosed cartridge case and bolt head for added strength. Its chrome-moly steel barrel is spill-bored with rifling grooves and individually cut to perfect concentricity. The bolt body has a guide rib for smooth bolt operation. Gas-proof housing completely enclosing the cocking piece and hand-polished chambers preserve cartridge cases for reloaders. This rifle features a blade front sight, a flip-up adjustable leaf rear sight, a 2-position thumb safety, and a Lyman All-American 4x scope. Its wood, metal, and bore are all in very good condition.
