Comments about BSA Optics BSA® Boresighter with Shotgun Arbor:

I am not a fan of BSA optics, but this boresight is worth the money. I have used this for several years and have no complaints with it. It is designed to get you on paper at 25 yards and usually will get you within 2 inches of the bullseye. I have used this at the range to help on "sight in" day and it has saved alot of time and ammo. Used correctly and how it was intened to be used, it works great. Probably the only BSA product I will ever buy.

Comments about BSA Optics BSA® Boresighter with Shotgun Arbor:

I use this in a gun vise and the arbors still move a lot. It seems like the springs want to go into the rifling grooves. Hard to keep it aligned with the cross hairs. If you have a short barrel, it may not work, depending on the height of the scope mount.

Comments about BSA Optics BSA® Boresighter with Shotgun Arbor:

Product works great. People that have problems with this item not being stable should try and use a rifle vise or bench of some kind. I use this for all my rifles and shotguns. Gets my rifles on paper at 100yards every time, save me a lot on my reloads and time.

I like the concept and it's pretty cool looking through the scope and seeing the grid. I could not square up the cross hairs on my scopes to the bore siter. I tried it on my 300 WSM & my 25-06. Both were loose and twisted on it's own. Thought the 300 was way off, readjusted siter and it looks pretty close. Which is it, I don't know? I suppose it will help you get on the paper.

It appears that the tension spring does not work properly in any of the arbors, and the bore sight spins.

THE BORE SIGHT WILL GET YOU ON PAPER AT 100 YARDS, THEN
YOU MUST FINE TUNE IT FROM THERE. JIM BO

It sounds like you aren't taking into account the bullet drop at 100 yards. A boresight aligns the scope with the barrel but gravity pulls your bullet down. That's why you need to sight in at the range. This is a tool that will get you on the paper so you can fine tune it at the range.
