Comments about Avery® Standard Neoprene Dog Parka:
We use the parka to keep our dog warm in AK in the winter. We cannot keep him out of the water so the parka is great for keeping him warm even in AK's cold water temps. We are often out in the elements getting firewood or doing other outdoor activities. This parka keeps him warm and dry. It was easy to adjust to fit. It's well constructed.

Comments about Avery® Standard Neoprene Dog Parka:
I bought this for my German Short Hair Pointer. The chest measurement is key for a good fit. Arm holes can be trimmed to customize. Neck hole is a bit large for GSP's but will vary for other breeds. Seems to keep her warm even when wet.

Q:
I want to know the measurements to what size t order. It is for the Avery Outdoors Standard Neoprene Dog Parka
Item # 403026Asked on 12/6/2009 by terry from Portland or.1 answer
A:
As per instructions, measure around neck and chest (widest on both counts).
Like a reviewer, my b&t coonhound measured 18" and 30". Her advice was to go a size larger, from XL to 2XL. Good advice, especially since my boy is 9 mo old and still growing.Answered on 12/7/2010 by Graymalkin from Roanoke, VA
Q:
what part of the neck should i measure?Asked on 6/29/2009 by Anonymous1 answer

A:
I measure them at the base of the neck - where their collars ride and, for a human example, just above your collar bone.
I believe Avery's instructions are to get the smaller size and cut it to fit if your dog's between two sizes. You can let them out quite a bit by cutting judiciously arond the neck, under the forelegs and in the flank areas on the vest and I've found it better to have it snug than have a vest that's too large. Good luck. -WSJAnswered on 10/29/2009 by WSJ from Upstate New york

Best thing to do is measure him per the instructions, chest and neck measurements are the best way to fit these vests.Answered on 4/13/2009 by Drakeula from Wherever the duck are!
