Comments about Antler King Red Zone Food Plot, 20 lbs.:

(U.P. Michigan) The best way to plant this product on May 1 is to fertilize, disk light (2"), spread seed, drag. It stays productive until Oct.
To keep deer around for hunting season, the trick is, to spread wheat, rye, brassica since they don't require soil tilling.
Do this and deer will love U

I planted 3 acres last year and it was nothing to see 35+ deer a night. This year I planted around 5 acres. If you want to plant annuals this is the seed blend to plant you will not be disapointed!!!!!!!!!!!

i planted a 1/4 acre to sample it deer ate it up! farmer told me while cutting hay the deer would not leave it as he passed with in a few yards on his tractor. this year i'll plant 3 or more acres and hope they don't eat it to nothing in 6 weeks or so. so, i recommend if you have anything other than a low deer density you plant as much as possible.

                    A:

Yes, you will need to till up the ground to properly use the Antler King Red Zone Food Plot. First you would need to plow/till or disk the ground to break up the seed bed. Second apply the appropriate amount of lime and fertilizer. Next disk again to incorporate lime with the soil. Next you would need to go over the food plot using a cultipacker/lawn roller or weighted drag to smooth and firm the soil. Then broadcast the seed according to the seeding recommendation found on the back of the bag. Seeds should stay within the top 1/4" of the soil. As for watering, you do not have to water constantly, but a good recommendation is to let mother nature take its course.

                    A:

Yes you will need to till up the ground before planting this product. If you want to water it that is up to you but you do not have to water the product. The water in the ground and whatever precipitation you get in your area will keep this product healthy.
