      I have had this blind for several years and reserve it for rotten weather when i'd rather not be out in the elements. I am a big-tall guy and find it a bit cramped for me to draw my bow inside. No problems with a gun though. I even used it ice fishing a few times, not recommended in high winds, otherwise was great. For hunting though, need to find the right height seat for you. I had to buy a shorter seat b/c I was too tall to sit on a bucket and pull my gun. Overall, I am happy with it and use it occasionally.

      I usually hunt out of a climber. But, the product is just the ticket for those cold windy or misty rainy days when just getting out of the wind/weather makes a huge difference. My problem is that it seems to be poorly constructed. I have had my blind approx. 1 1/2 years and have used it approx a dozen times.
      The zippers on the door as broken off and I am keeping the door as closed as i can w/ large safety pins & hemostats. I am now trying to get Ameristep to fix or replace. I will let you know how that turns out. Also, the blind is missing 2 pole pockets for the bungy poles that erect the roof. It should have 4 but I have made due. A friend just got one for Christms and his as 3 pole pockets. It seems that Ameristep does not pay very close attention to the quality of the construction of the blind. However, it is easy to set up, take down and transport. I will not buy another Ameristep product unless they end up standing behind this one.

          Considered the G10 model. Bought this because I need a blind I can shoot a bow out of. Thought I would set up and take down because I have seen reviews on other websites saying it is difficult to fold back down. Thing goes up in a snap. For take down, it is confusing, but a guy on youtube posted a video on how to take it down. Watch that once and you will not have a problem. Only concern is that from the inside I can see daylight through the roof where the 3D foilage is sewn on. Think I may even use ice fishing next winter.

          great product, get deer every year with mine. you will need to practice folding this at home before you take it out, once you figure it out it is easy but the first time you try to fold it up you need to use the instructions

              I would say that it is "Almost" waterproof. I was in it during a driving rainstorm during spring Turkey season and only had a few drops permeate thru the material. I was pleased w/that particular aspect of the blind.

              The doghouse blind is generally a two person blind. My girlfriend and I fit in our blind quite comfortably when scouting deer patterns for the upcoming fall season here in Arkansas. It is also great for single person hunting as well. Just make sure that you have a swivel chair or stool so that you can utilize all of the viewing windows with minimal noise.
