Comments about Ameristep 16' Gunner Ladder Stand:

Is a decent stand for the money, one of the cheapest. I have no doubts that it won't hold up it just hard to climb. I've had cheap stands over the years, but Ameristep cheped out when making the ladder so narrow. I'm only 5'7" and 140lbs. and where a size 9.5 shoe and can only fit one foot on each rung.

Comments about Ameristep 16' Gunner Ladder Stand:

I do like this stand...I added quick release pins on section to seat. this makes it easy to back pack it into the woods. added straps to sling over shoulders. Assembles quickly now. Lay on ground, unstrap sections, quick pin each section together and seat to steps. Then support arms for seat fit in quick release pins for seat. This makes it quick, quiet and stable. Set bottom at base of tree and raise it up. I also added a rachet strap to center support, going around tree to stable for climbing stand before you rachet seat section to tree.
