For the price I guess you should not expect to much. But a few small details would have made this a lot better. First off the front bag is filled with some type of beans and does not conform to your stock very well and even moves around, some sand would have been a lot better. Second the feet are made out of plastic and slide around on the shooting bench, rubber feet would have been great. Unit was also a little light in weight for my taste. But for the price you do get a fairly steady rest with adjustment for leveling and elevation adjustment. Works good for holding your gun for cleaning and maintenance. I plan on making my own front bag or at least removing the beans and refilling it with sand and have added some rubber pads to the feet to stop it from sliding around. This rest is good enough for the occasional shooter and hunter who is looking for a low price rest that will get there gun sighted in and practice some target shooting. I use this rest for cleaning and some shooting when I don't feel like bring out my better rest.

Comments about Allen Company Folding Deluxe Gun Rest:
Immediately I noticed how light & flimsy it was. Doesn't hold rifle steady enough to be very useful. Not a bad design, but it needs more weight & the rear rest needs to be adjustable. I got as good performance just resting the front of my rifle on my range bag. I returned it the first chance I could.

Comments about Allen Company Folding Deluxe Gun Rest:
rear stock holder needs to be adjustable. AR style rifles pistol grip hits bottom bar. I strap mine to a shooting bench and it works just fine for .22 and .223 cals.
Pros
- Cheap
Cons
- Flimsy design
Best Uses
- Occasional shooter

Comments about Allen Company Folding Deluxe Gun Rest:
Great price for a good looking product, all metal design sold me over plastic model in same price range.
Adjustments were simple and easy to use, sighted in a great 1/2 inch group at 100 yards with my 6.5x55 and a 2 inch with my Mossberg 500 firing 12 gauge Lightfield slugs.
After hunting season inspection of the rest revealed that both forward rest and rear bolt were bent, I can only assume from the force of operating weapons. Rear bolt is bent at a 15 degree angle and forward rest looks like a hammer hit it from the top.
Rest still operates as intended, damage has not interfered with function yet. Overall product is a solid buy, but would opt to spend more money on a heavier and sturdier rest in the future.
Pros
- Easy to move
- Easy to use
- Priced right
Cons
- A little hard to adjust
- Light
Best Uses
- Competitive Shooting
- Target Practice
Comments about Allen Company Folding Deluxe Gun Rest:
This is not a led sled but for the money it is a good rest. I wish it had a strap in the front to hold the barrel. I bought this to sight in 3or4 guns. it will be just fine for that.

- Stable well made
Cons
