Comments about Do-All Outdoors Do-All Traps, LLC .22 Steel Roundup Dueling Tree Target:

Agree with other reviewers...targets do not shift to other side when hit, and sometimes stick in the halfway position. I adjusted the tension as light as possible, which made it somewhat usable when shooting with a rifle, but not with a pistol. I removed the adjusting screws completely, which allows the plates to move more freely, but this resulted in the plates becoming stuck in the halfway position even more frequently (this of course defeats the purpose of the springs). I tried lubing it, but still no improvement. Design is not good...

Comments about Do-All Outdoors Do-All Traps, LLC .22 Steel Roundup Dueling Tree Target:

Good design, however a critical internal part of the mechanism is plastic and prone to wear out quickly and fail, and Therefore the targets do not move to or hold to either side positively. It generally works about 33% of the time.
Additionally there is a single pole that goes through the pivotting hole of each target so adjusting one target affects the others and repair or replacement of a single target requires removal of several others.
Found a different dueling tree that only has 6 targets but each target works totally independently of the others and I found it to be about 95% reliable vs about 33% reliable.

                • Unreliable functioning

Comments about Do-All Outdoors Do-All Traps, LLC .22 Steel Roundup Dueling Tree Target:

Spring tension is supposed to be adjustable so that the targets will flip to the other side when hit. But getting all the targets to operate reliably even with direct center hits may not be possible. The adjustment method is difficult and poorly engineered. The cap screws used for spring adjustment are poor quality (soft) and the threads strip very easily with little torque. I had to replace these screws with good ones made of decent quality metal. When the targets respond as they are supposed to, your well placed shots are fun and satisfying. But it is frustrating when direct hits fail to move the target all the way to the other side. If you are mechanically inclined and like to figure out why things don't work and then try to fix it, this target is for you. If you like to have things work properly out of the box, then look elsewhere.
