I am very happy with this product. It was fairly easy to install (about 30min-1hr). we have given this product hours of heavy use this summer and I have nothing bad to say about it performance or durability. It is also easly removed and stored for when we just want to cruise the lake (pull four pins and unscrew from base). The only negative thing that I can say is that I was expecting to be able to adjust to several different heights for different activities and users, and that was not the case. It is only adjustable in that you get to choose the height that you want to set it at, and then it is permanent.

I had to weld the pin that goes through the top of the pylon and the bottom of the base plate to the pylon to stop spinning when skiers were out to the side, then the screw that is attached to the bottom of the pylon which screws into the base plate popped out of the bottom of the pylon and the whole ski pole ended up in the Caribbean sea, much to my frustration, disapointment and embarrassment!

Comments about Barefoot International Adjustable Pro Ski Pylon:

I am happy with the ski pylon, it is much stronger than the one I had been using and repairing the last couple seasons. It arrived sooner than expected, and installed fairly easy on my boat. I set it up for two different heights, which does take a couple of tools and 5 minutes to do.

Comments about Barefoot International Adjustable Pro Ski Pylon:

I bought this for my kids (not what my wife would say...). I don't wake board but they do, and I got tired of worrying about the tow line getting caught in the motor when I had it attached across the back of my boat. Of all the reviews I read before buying this pylon, I would say the single most important one is to be sure you bolt it 'through' the floor (if your floor isn't very thick, reinforce the back). Or do what I did, have a professional install it (my wife made me do it, she has seen my other handiwork and feared for our children's safety). Overall, this is an excellent product, very strong, and easy to take apart when you don't need it. I would highly recommend it!

I have a 1994 18.5ft. Bayliner that looks just like the one pictured and the pole fits this boat perfectly. It is very convenient to swap different ropes for different activities, and I don't have to worry about the rope getting into the motor.

Most of the items like this one are not made for a specific boat application, so we are unable to confirm or deny that this product will work for your application for that reason. What you should do to see if this will fit your application is take a few measurements to make sure you have enough room to mount the arm braces and the vertical pole. Please call our technical department for more information about this product at 1-888-683-7866.

Because the drag of getting a an inflatable can either bend the arms, the pylon or in some cases rip the pylon out of the floor.
