    I had the height adjustment lever break. When I called Springfield I was told that they stock NO parts and they would have to order it from China. Maybe I would have it in three months. The replacement will be from Swivl-Eze. Hope they can do better.

    This is a very sturdy base that even my wife can't destroy. This base will support large people with ease. I have two complaints, one, no mounting hardware is included. It would be nice to have some shiny stainless hardware included. Two, the low level adjustment could be 1-2 inches lower to accomidate smaller vessels 15-20 feet. With the base set at its lowest position, the pilots head is well over the windshield of a 17 foot boat.

    Other than the two minor issues the base is rock solid and should outlast the boat.
