It comes equipped with a six-pin centrifugal break and Carbon Matrix Drag™ System for optimal drag performance. Chemical nickel-coated levelwind system keeps your line flat for better casting. Frame, sideplate, and spool are constructed of lightweight aluminum for strength and corrosion resistance. Durable stainless steel gears provide long-lasting use. This is my 8th Abu Garcia bait casting reel. They are an excellent reel and will last a lifetime. I purchased my first in 1975 and it still works and fishes great. I mainly fish Steelhead and Salmon and none of these reels have ever given up. Will only buy Abu Garcia reels!

i have owned many different reels and this one is one of the best. i wish it could hold a little more line cause you can only get about eight complete colors of lead core line on it, but other than that i would buy it again. it is great for live bait fishing on an ugly stick MH action (striper style)

We are in the middle of our Salmon season. I have already caught 15 Salmon on this reel. I have half a dozen Abu Garcia reels. I never have had any problems with any of them.
