      Havent owned many Bait casters during my countless hours on the water but have used a few different types. I prefer the larger/open round reels and Abu knows how to make them. Durable, easy to use, no nonsense. It will cast anything you tie on it (I prefer a heavy round braid for casting heavy gear, seems to backlash a little less). Tried casting with power pro 50lb braid, works well but a heavier line will get you a little more distance and accuracy. I do alot of big lake trolling for salmon/trout on lake superior and the clicker feature is great. It can be heard over my older Johnson 90HP when I am not paying close enough attention to my lines (or im a little drunk). Great real, will last a lifetime.

        Bought the reel for some jerkbait fishin and was very happy to see how well it performed. The gear ratio is perfect for those just right retreives and it casts out long with little effort. Hooked it up with a St.Croix Mojo Musky and some 50lb Power Pro Super 8. A really nice setup.

          left hand retrive,line capacity,cast ability,wieght are very favorable.have been use round ambassadors for 50 year and the quality is still there.these reels cast any wieght from 3/16 to 3 oz,depending on which round is needed for what I fish for,
