Comments about Smith 75" Post Boat Guide For I-Beam Trailers and Boat Lifts:
The guides are well built and easy to install. I had to buy longer bolts. The bolts supplied were not long enough for the beams on my tri-axle trailer. I don't load and unload the boat often, so they haven't been test for durability yet but they seem very strong and sturdy.
Pros
- Galvanized brackets
- Galvanized square guides
- Heavy duty PVC
Cons
- Non-stainless bolts-nuts
Best Uses
- I-Beam boat trailer
Comments about Smith 75" Post Boat Guide For I-Beam Trailers and Boat Lifts:
This is an excellent product. I would have given 5 stars, but the lack of stainless steel bolts, washers, and locking nuts was disappointing.I ended up throwing the nuts, bolts and washers away and used stainless instead. Retail it only cost me $3. I do not understand why manufacturers make such a good product, all galvanized and corrosion proof materials and then to save maybe $3 opt not to use stainless bolts, washers, and nuts. It is like buying a Mercedes and they put $29 [@] tires on it

Comments about Smith 75" Post Boat Guide For I-Beam Trailers and Boat Lifts:
Needed something to help me get the boat straight on the trailer on steep, deep launching ramps. Had to be strong to avoid sideways drift in current or wind. This is the strongest I have found.
