The ATAC A2 Tactical Flashlight flawlessly combines a high-performance, feature-packed flashlight with a low-cost power source. Powered by 2 AA batteries the ATACA2 Tactical Flashlight throws a brilliant 162 ANSI FL1 Lumens of light in a smooth tactical beam pattern. Offers 1.75 hours of runtime on the high setting and 75 hours of runtime on the low setting. Tactical Intelligent switch silently cycles through all 3 light modes (High/Low/Strobe) using only the momentary-on function to prevent a "click" sound from giving away your location. Break-Away lanyard is designed to free your arm from the flashlight in the event of an emergency.

Comments about 5.11 Tactical ATAC A2 Flashlight:

I was looking for a small light to be a back up to my Mag-Light, and this turned out even better. I would say that it puts out almost the same amount of light as a 4-D cell flashlight, but at a fraction of the size and running on 2 AA batteries! Which can be picked up almost any where if there was a need.

If it were not for the holder/holster issues I would have given it 5 stars.

All I can say is that this little flashlight is great! It puts out a ton of light and it even turned into my primary light when working. The draw backs are few: there is a holder available, but is uses the pocket clip and it does not hold very well (from the reviews that I have read) the falshlight has ben reported as falling out of it very eas. Also if there was a focus ability this bad boy of a light would cast even further.

The rubber piece near the switch is squared off so that it will not roll around if you need to set it down. It is also great to have the multi-functions; high, low, and strobe (the high and strobe work very well at blinding a questionable person to give you a little extra time to react before they can). Also the fit and finish I have found to be outstanding!

Overall I love this light because of the small size, the ability to get replacement batteries almost any where at any time if you have to, but overall the battery life has been great o this has yet to be a problem (plus I also vary a backup set)! However I would really like to see a better holder/holster for duty use (the clip works well enough on a belt), and I would love to see a focus ability like that on Mag-Lights to bring out the full potential of this little ray of sun shine in the dark. I would also like to see different light filters (red, green, blue) for different light discipline applications, and may be even a traffic cone attachment for traffic control duties.
