Product Description
With the vast majority of slug hunters using traditional smooth bore rifled slugs, we set out to make the smooth bore slug more effective for the standard slug slinger. The TruBall rifled slug system is the result, and the most consistent group-to-group smooth bore slug on the market. With a simple ball that centers the slug in the barrel, we've reinvented and redefined smooth bore slug technology and expectations. See for yourself with 2" groups at 50-yards. |

Comments about Federal Premium 12GA TRU BALL SLUG 2.75 1OZ:
I am extremely satisfied with this ammo, very reliable and very powerful and last but not least very accurate. I used a Mossberg 930 spx and constantly hit a small 15 inch rock on the side of a hill at 200 yards. I would stock up on ammo now before ammo control goes into effect soon due to the recent Connecticut school shooting, I speak for the responsible gun owners.

ive got several deer with these slugs now and every time they've made great blood trails if they didnt drop right there and huge entery and exit holes. i wont shoot any other slug out of my remington 870 wingmaster now.

Comments about Federal Premium 12GA TRU BALL SLUG 2.75 1OZ:
all i can really say it awsome shell. i took it out for the first time and fired it out of my Remington 870 express tactical. fired great i was shooting at 30 40 yards and was spot on each time. very consistent and predictable which is great for target and hunting. after 10 rounds back to back threw my tactical 870 my shoulder is sore. ha ha i loved it tho nothing really bad to say.

Q:
Can you use the rifled slug in a rifled slug barrel, or just in a smooth bore barrel?Asked on 11/25/2010 by Anonymous from Hastings,PA2 answers
A:
Because the slug, itself, is rifled, a rifled barrel isn't necessary. Use a choke, but nothing more constrictive than an improved cylinder.Answered on 12/18/2010 by mike from los angelesA:
i want to say in smooth only atleast thats what i've always been told. because the rifling won't match with your barrel and the slug could cause a problem. i'm no pro by any means so i may be wrongAnswered on 3/11/2012 by Derrick from Marion, il
