Originally known as the Registered Magnum, the Model 27 was the original .357 magnum revolver. Built on Smith & Wesson's large N-Frame, the Model 27 is noted for its durability and reliability. The Model 27 has always been essentially a custom firearm and in recent years it has been made available through the Smith & Wesson Performance Center, a series of guns built from the ground up, combining old world hand craftsmanship with modern technology to create an extremely accurate, high performance design for the most demanding shooters. The Performance Center 27 features a target hammer, a target trigger, and high-quality checkered rosewood grips. This double-action revolver has an adjustable rear sight with a gold-bead front sight and holds eight rounds. Its wood, metal and bore are all in very good condition.
