The improved trigger weight and feel, and unique takedown method set the M&P apart from other modern lightweight pistols. The M&P is made out of Zytel polymer reinforced with a stainless steel chassis and treated with Smith & Wesson's proprietary Melonite nitriding process that produces a matte gray-colored, non-glare surface with a 68 Rockwell C surface hardness rating. The M&P Pro has a five-inch barrel and a longer slide than previous M&P models, which provides the multiple benefits of better balance, longer sight radius, recoil-dampening weight and higher bullet velocity. This double-action-only pistol features a fixed rear sight with a high-visability front sight and a 17-round magazine. Its grip, metal, and bore are all in excellent condition.
