lake_lite Kit provides the perfect charge for battery-operated boat lift systems. The high quality solar panel will keep your battery in top condition so your electric DC lift motor has the power to raise and lower your boat when needed. No regulator required. Anodized aluminum frame. Mounts to any boat lift. Very easy to install. Angle can be adjusted for maximum exposure to the sun. Angular design allows for panel to clear canopy covers. Kit includes solar panel, pre-wired panels with 20' cable and 3/8" ring terminals, mounting hardware, stainless steel worm strap, universal battery tray, and instructions.

    Will 10 watts overcharge the battery or is here an automatic limiter so this does not occur? Most trickle chargers for batteries are only about 2 watts.

      A:

      If it’s a Marine Battery group 24 or 27 or a car size battery, 10w-12v panel will NOT overcharge them. For a Starter/Car type battery anything over 10watts MUST use a regulator for safety of overcharging. Typically these batteries have a trickle charge rating in the 1/2-3/4 amp range (.500mA - .750mA). A 10w solar panel puts out about 0.600mA in PEAK sunlight which if averaged is only about 3-5hrs/day depending on season.
