Comments about Lowrance Elite-4 Chartplotter/Fishfinder Combo With Color Display:
I bought my Elite-4 to replace an obsolete M68. It is obviously a more advanced technology and does a better job of fish detection and readability. I have used it twice so far and I am very happy with its performance. It was also easy to install.

Comments about Lowrance Elite-4 Chartplotter/Fishfinder Combo With Color Display:
Took the place of fishfinder only unit on my bass boat. Screen is a bit small but you can zoom in on chartploter. Would have liked the larger Elite 5 but too much difference in price which makes Elite 4 a great buy. Owners manual not always clear about how to find or use a feature...sometimes I just had to play around with it. Recomend you bump up brightness to see screen when in bright sunlight. Epoxied transducer to bottom of hull for shoot thru use and works great. Remember when drilling thru fiberglass to start with small pilot hole & gradually inc size or you end up like me with a chunk out of gelcoat!

Comments about Lowrance Elite-4 Chartplotter/Fishfinder Combo With Color Display:
For the price, it's hard to beat this unit. Love the built in contour features. I can sit in my driveway and see the areas of the lake I want to fish and mark them with waypoints. I can see humps, riverbeds, flats etc. Great unit. Seems to mark fish well too! The screen is a bit small, but you can't expect a huge screen in this price range. For the money, I would buy this unit again over other equally priced models.
