  • Q:

How do I Install this into the tubing?
It seems that the internal ring on the tubing (which is needed once the fitting is in place, to keep it from coming out) is in the way to get it in to the tube.
What tricks or techniques do you have to get this installed?
I have tried a mallet (not working). I haven't tried grease or lubricant. Is there a tool which will gently squeeze this into the tube?
thanks for any help you can give. (I even looked on youtube, and didn't see anything on this topic)

      A:

      According to the manufacturer:
Break thru the internal ring of tube and crimp the fitting. There are two ridges on the fitting that get inserted into the tube. The crimp should be on those ridges to lock into place.
