Unit comes with a built-in worldwide basemap with shaded contours so you have a big picture of the surrounding terrain; increasing map detail is easy since the Oregon 450 accepts microSD cards. An included 3-axis tilt-compensated electronic compass shows your heading, even when you're standing still. A barometric altimeter tracks changes in pressure to pinpoint your precise altitude and allows you to plot barometric pressure over time. WAAS-enabled GPS receiver and HotFix satellite prediction locate positions quickly and precisely. The Oregon 550 includes built-in 3.5 megapixel camera with autofocus and 4x digital zoom.
