FOR A PLASTIC FRAME IT'S A GOOD DEAL. WHEN THEY GO TO ALUMINUM IT'LL BE EVEN BETTER. THE COMPANY THAT ASSEMBLES THESE SHOULD TAKE MORE PRIDE IN THEIR WORKMANSHIP THAN TO MISMATCH COLORS. THE SUPPORT SEAMS WERE OBVIOUSLY A DIFFERENT BLUE THAN THE SHADE ITSELF. I HAD DOUBLE ORDERED AND PICKED THRU TO GET "3". I HAVE A 25' PONTOON BOAT AND I WAS IN WINDS OF 10- 15 MPH. I WOULD PUT THE SHADE ON THE INSIDE OF THE FRAME OR THE OUTSIDE DEPENDING ON HOW I WAS MOORING OR TRAVELING. I HAVE SKIN CANCER PROBLEM'S AND ACTUALLY HACE THE HIGH DOLLAR PULL DOWN SUN SHADES. THESE ARE A LOT EASIER. NICE LOOKING (WHEN COLORS MATCH), EASY TO SETUP, STORE, ADJUST AND DO THE JOB.

Comments about Taylor Made Clamp-On Sun Shade:
Used this sun shade 3 times when 2 of the 6 metal rods used as ribs broke at the base with only a mild breeze at the time. Product good only for NO WIND conditions until they improve the quality of design. Still under warranty for return, but I'm stuck paying shipping costs.

Comments about Taylor Made Clamp-On Sun Shade:
Late afternoon and early evening pontoon cruises are fun except for the glare of the sun. Solves the problem completely. Not useable in windy conditions.

Comments about Taylor Made Clamp-On Sun Shade:
I use these shades on my boat when I am anchored. They provide shade where the Bimini doesn't. They are easy to use and easy to store on the boat. They don't work real well in high wind but have done well in low wind. They are easy to clip on to anything. For the price they are great! Many people at area lakes have asked me where I got them and I have referred them to Overton's!

Comments about Taylor Made Clamp-On Sun Shade:
Just got the sun shade on 7/13/11. The third day we used it one of the poles snapped off where it attaches to the main beam. Couldn't even tell you how it happened. Put it up intact. Went to take it down, it was broke. I can only assume that it snapped due to a light breeze that day. I am very disappointed in the construction. I'm getting ready to call customer service and have this one sent back. Not sure if I will even ask for a replacement. It is great for the shade. Just be careful not to use it when there is any kind of a breeze.

CUSTOMER CARE
A:
The item number 87660 is the Clamp-On Sun Shade and the height of this item is not adjustable at all. This item is to provide you shade in areas that your bimini top does not protect you from the sun. It simply clamps on to the frame of your bimini top to provide protection from the sun. This item folds up nice and easy for simple storage. I do hope that this has helped answer your questions but if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us here at Gander Mountain and we will be glad to assist you.Answered on 10/1/2009 by Brooks from Gander Mountain
