Comments about Attwood Marine Attwood LED Deck-Mount Red Port Light With 1 NM Visibility:

Replaced with these last weekend. Easy install, two wires, and no hiccups. Start with the right tools & parts including butt connectors and a heat gun. The unit is waterproof, but they're covering a hole at the bow of your boat. Do it right. Lights are super-bright (I was concerned they wouldn't be). It was really nice to look out from the cockpit and see the little indicators on the top of the units glowing. It was very easy to see they were on. And with LEDs, you don't have to climb out there and "Fonzie" your lights to make them come on (I hated that!). Highly recommended update.

Comments about Attwood Marine Attwood LED Deck-Mount Red Port Light With 1 NM Visibility:

The quality of this product is poor and of cheap construction. No effort is spared to provide a substandard boat light. The mounting bracket is flimsy and has two screw holes. At least three are needed. No mounting screws are provided. The thin metal cover has no strength. If you want this light to be water tight, bring caulking for the installation and use plenty.

nm means nautical mile. So one can be seen from farther away than the other.
