I bought the speedo and the tach. My boat man couldn't get the tach to work so he never hooked up the sppedometer??? Also, there are two speeds that I didn't know about. One is 35mph the other is 65mph. I wish I had the 35 instead

Is this a "plug and go" type unit? In other words, can it be installed on a boat that did not originally have a speedo, or would I need to buy a separate sending unit, etc. ?

The power on this is for the lighting since the gauge is controlled by the pitot tube assembly

                    A:

You would actually receive the gauge, pitot tube and hose. You would have to use you existing wiring, because this does not come with new wiring.

Its called a speedo pitot, or just a speedo pickup. Its a pretty inexpensive part.
