A:
One thing to remember when installing this gauge you need a good ground, a battery ground is the best source. You have to use a power source from the ign. or use a toggle switch and run your main power off of it. Simple design simple to install look at the old one and run wiring like it is..Answered on 6/13/2012 by Sport400 from Springtown, TexasCUSTOMER CARE

Q:
I just had a 2010 4-stroke yamaha 225hp installed on my bay boat. My old guages, included my fuel guage, were yamaha brand guages. The old fuel guage was a combination speedometer - fuel guage (yamaha brand). I still have my two leads (wires) going to my fuel tank. I need to replace only the fuel guage and wanted to know if this Teleflex Eclipse Fuel guage would work.Asked on 11/30/2009 by Jmo1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
The fuel gauge requires that the sending unit be calibrated to 32-240 ohms which is an american setting for sending units and fuel gauges. The only other setting that a fuel sending unit can be is a european setting which nothing in america is sold to be set to, so you do not have to worry about that. All Teleflex fuel gauges will work with a fuel sending units sold in America whether a reed sending unit or float style sending unit. In other words yes it will work on your application as long as your sending unit it set to 32-240 ohms.Answered on 12/3/2009 by Justin from Overton's Technician
