Product Description
browning The new Citori 725 is the evolution of John M. Browning's legendary B25 Superposed, now with the modern performance advantage of a Low-Profile receiver. The new 725 receiver is significantly lower than other Citori 12 gauge receivers, yet the 725 shares the renowned durability of generations of Citori over and unders with the same rugged full-width hinge pin and tapered locking bolt design. With a 725, you get the "one with the gun" feeling you want, with the long lasting durability you expect from a Browning over and under. And the features don't stop there. The 725 showcases an all-new Mechanical Trigger (FireLite) that offers unmatched feel and lighter pull weights than ever before. Inflex Technology has also been added to make shooting more comfortable. And the new Invector-DS choke system moves to a new level of performance.

Comments about Browning Citori 725 Field Shotgun:

With memories of sore shoulder back in my youth, I'd ignored my old Antonio Zoli O/U as it has gathered dust since (the Autos are so soft). This summer on a whim I decided it was time to experience a little current O/U technology. After a month of shooting a variety of Browning loners at our gun club, I was impressed and decided it was time to buy. Before making the final decision I still hadn't looked at an example of the most current technology such as the 725. A spur-of-the-moment visit to Gander made me glad I did. Today after four weeks and 325 rounds, "Wow" just about sums it up. The 725 is just wonderful. The light weight is the first thing everyone notices when they pick it up. (Amazing the difference a pound makes). The years have taken their toll on me but for the first time in five years I can shoot two rounds of clays back to back with a 12 gauge and go home without sore arms. This Fall I intend to see how it works compared to my trusty old A5 for pheasants in SD…
        Technology-wise:
        • I prefer its mechanical triggers, since during the month of experimentation I experience two duds while shooting with standard inertia triggers. The subsequent frustration of not being able to immediately fire the second barrel really blows my (admittedly limited) concentration. •Whatever the technology in the butt pad, it certainly works for me.Most 12 gauge recoil pads that actually work look so dated, (thick orthopedic-beige rubber) whereas this one is just plain good looking, slim yet absorbs shock just as well.
        • The bluing, engraving and wood are just gorgeous.
        • Hammer ejectors function flawlessly.
        • The new chokes, evidently designed to reduce soot fowling of their threads appear to work inasmuch I have noticed no carbon or wad residue getting past their bronze bushings. Here's the only complaint I have (of the entire shotgun) is that unlike the barrels, for some reason I struggle cleaning the choke bores.

I could not be happier with this choice and my adult children say they are looking forward to inheriting a fine shotgun…

        • Was this a gift?:
        • No
