I purchased this item because I wanted an easy-to-wear-pack-and-tote pull-over that was also stylish AND kept me warm. I have a few others kind of like this that I received as gifts, but they are big around the torso area. Gander Mountain has designed a durable, stylish, comfortable, lightweight, and warm (without suffocating you!) pull-over fleece. It is a great layering piece, would definitely keep you warm in the winter as a base layer, and is wonderful to pull out on those cooler, rainy days in the spring and summer. It doesn't have pockets, which is okay. I think if it did, it might add some unnecessary bulk to the product. I bought the wine colored one and it is great for dressing up just a little, or dressing down. I absolutely love it and I will probably purchase a different one soon!
