I have owned this kayak for 3 months now. After taking it out around 20 times, I felt like I had enough experience with it to write a proper review.

The main complaint I saw about this kayak when researching my purchase was that it is a wet ride. After purchasing a set of scupper plugs, this is not an issue at all. I also read that the dry storage areas would get wet. I have not had any problems with that at all.

The kayak is comfortable. There is plenty of room for storage. It tracks well. It is light enough to pick up and place on top of a vehicle with ease.

The only real negative I can think of is that the seat can slide around a little when repositioning yourself. Some of the other kayaks I looked at had a mounted seat back. They look like they would be comfortable, but are not removeable like this seat.

I would definitely recommend this kayak to anyone that is looking to fish on rivers, ponds, lakes, and bays. Have not had the opportunity to take it out on open ocean.

I use This Kayak For Fishing on Lots of Small Lakes And It Is Great. The Only Thing that I Did Find That Was Not Great Is That The Water Came Up Through The Scupper Holes A Little Bit. Other Than That It Is A Great Kayak For Fishing.

I got this for fathers day and was very excited about it. I knew it would be a wet ride, and that is fine by me. However, the dry storage had 20-30 gallons of water it in. It is a good thing my telephone was in 2 zip;ock bags, or it would have been ruined. The water weighed the yak down so much it came over the sides with the slightest lean. I was so excited & now So So So disappointed! I sure hope Gander gives me my money back, because this boat is worthless.

The main purpose for getting this kayak was to fish the marsh and bay near my house. I am 5'10" and weigh 197 pounds, with this being said, as soon as I sat in the boat water started gushing in through the scupper holes. By the time I got situated there was 2-3 inches of water in the bottom, enough to actually run in to my seat, which has no drains. Even the dry storage inside the boat takes at least 3-5 gallons of water in just a half of days fishing. Another con is its weight, a little heavy for my likes. Over all it performs well as far as handling and fishing, but I would suggest saving up for a few more check and buying an Ocean Kayak, you'll be glad you did!

Kayak was comfortable to sit in for awhile and felt stable. Rides very low in the water and needs scupper plugs if you weigh enough to push it down below the water line. I'm 250 and without plugs the kayak immediately filled with inches of water. Now the bad part. The dry storage is not dry at all. When water comes over the top and sits by your feet or seat, the hull fills with water and things in dry storage become wet, even in the "waterproof" storage bags. Had my phone in the dry storage bag in front of the seat and when I got out of the water, I discovered it had been sitting in water inside the storage bag. Phone ruined. I put a sweatshirt in what was supposed to be dry storage in the hull, and it was sitting in about a gallon of water that got into the hull. Very upset with the quality of this kayak.

I did a lot of research before buying a kayak. When I seen this one, I loved it so much I bought 2! I couldnt find anything else better for the price! Great tracking, good speed, and very stable. There's other kayaks cheaper like the Ascend, but its a thin layer of Polyethelene and they have problems in the heat with melting and they crack which you'll find on just about every review. This kayak is 68lbs, which is a little heavier than most, but that's because its built well! This kayak even comes rigged with 3 rod holders, 1 adjustable scotty in front, 2 in back + the plugs, adjustable foot pegs, nice comfy seat, an anchor and 2 dry bags for the smaller storage units. It has a large storage compartment up front and a place to put a 5 gal bucket in the back plus more! I even got a rebate on the paddles which they have time to time. Im very happy with this kayak!!!

What a great kayak. I bought this boat yesterday and as soon as i got it home i was on the water. It was very easy getting in and out. Fishing was great the storage was there. If you are looking for a good fishing kayak and just crusing along. THIS IS IT! Very happy with this Kayak
